As I sit here and type this post about Christmas cards it is 80 degrees outside. The thing is though for any of us who want to get out and take a picture specifically for a Christmas card we have to start thinking now. What to wear? Where should we have the "photoshoot"? The quality of the card is as important to an amateur photog, like myself, as the picture itself. A perfect shot printed on cheap paper still looks bad. I will admit that I used to go to the big name stores and order 100 of the "photo cards" and sent them out proudly with sun in my kids eyes and them barely looking at the camera. As I started grasping photography more I spent a few years creating my own cards in photoshop, having them printed, bought envelopes separately, and sending them out. And then we had Ruby. If you read my blog you know this child keeps us all on our toes. Nowadays I still want the originality of a home made card but the quality from a professional printer but I just don't have the time to do it myself. I have found happiness with Pear Tree Greetings.
