Love, love, love this Flip!!
Original (beware it is over 3 minutes)
This morning Ruby went down for her few minutes of sleep and the girls and I decided to do our nails for the beginning of summer sandal season :) With a new babe around who has time for a professional pedicure? Sadly I only had about 35 minutes to paint all of our nails and post this picture - which could be why my polish looks so bad. Beautiful weekend in the Carolinas and we are already outside and enjoying every bit of it!
We do live in the south so I guess I should get used to our daughters wanting to be cowgirls right?
We have so much yard work to do this year. We neglected a few things last year and now we can ignore those areas no more :) Yesterday we headed to Lowe's to get some supplies and then this morning after a filling breakfast of pancakes, eggs, bacon, toast, and banana muffins we headed out as a family to tend to some front yard work. I figure we might be done with everything on our list by the end of the month if we work on it here and there. The girls get bored very quickly though and it is hard for me to do anything b/c Ruby doesn't like to be put down so I have her in a sling most of the time. Although very handy for normal house chores slings are not really meant for a lot of bending so Matt is doing most of that work. Job well done btw! Our front looks a ton better and our neighbors benefited by getting some of our plants that we no longer have room for.
This dandelion was actually found in a neighbors yard. I so want *that* picture of my daughter perfectly blowing the dandelion and me catching it like it was accidental but we were a bit off today :) There is always next week.
Ha - I know that sometimes the thought of selling one or all of our kids might drift in a tired/stressed out mama's mind but mine have been really great today so none of them are for sale at the moment :) Today I was taking pictures of some of my things and some of the girls old toys that I want to post on my local mama site this weekend. Hopefully most of it will sell b/c part of the money that we make off everything will go for Piper and Violet when they do Relay for Life again next month. Wish us luck!!
And b/c I have to post a picture here is one of my beauties today :)
Sure, during the day she sleeps but night is a different story :)
What is more fun on Easter morning than to get up and hunt for baskets? How about eating chocolate before 7:30? Well, it is fun for a 2 & 3 year old but not so much for the parents who now have to say "No more candy" every 3 minutes or so afterwards :) Here are Piper and Violet with their stash. I took this picture before they knew that there was candy in those eggs - had they known maybe the smiles would have been bigger or perhaps Violet might have actually looked at me for more than a second :)
when you have a 2 year old, a new pen, and a mommy in a different room? Well, you get this - her "tattoo" :)
Every time one of my newborns gets that "I just want to be held" pathetic cry I hear Janis singing in my ear. You don't get really stressed out when a newborn cries and I think that it is b/c a little babes cry is so much more quiet than say a 3 or 4 month old :) All of my children have crying pictures and now Baby Ruby joins the club.
Today while I was nursing Ruby Violet decided to stand on the Bumbo next to me. I am not sure what she was doing but the next thing I knew she hit her head on the window and was crying. Seriously, her whole face is going to be 1 big bruise before long. I am glad that she is good about it afterwards though, not too much drama :) Here she is dirty face and all :)
This past Monday our family celebrated cousin Megan's birthday a few days early. Piper decided that she wanted to get "decorated" for the party. Unfortunately Megan never saw this b/c she was bored with this outfit by the time dinner started - ah the attention span of a 3 year old.
There was great joy last week as we welcomed our 3rd daughter but our family also had a devastating loss and have been feeling so much sadness ever since. Our beautiful Sadie collapsed Monday night when Matt came home to let our dogs out while I was still at the hospital. He took her to the emergency vet and they found fluid around her heart and a tumor. After talking to the vet on call and discussing the options and outcomes it was decided to have her put down so that there would be no suffering. Sadie was with us for over 9 years. She was my protector and walking buddy. A ball or frisbee would keep her absolutely content for hours if you wanted to throw it that long. Our girls loved to play with her and just started dressing her up, she was so good with them. Our family is missing her very much and although I have wanted to write about this many other times I just haven't been in the right place emotionally to post about her - it hurts and effects each one of us so much. We will always love you and will miss you so much big dog - xxoo.
I couldn't decide which I thought was cuter so here are 2 tutu cute pictures of Violet :)
