Heck, I didn't even know mine wasn't perfect until I thought I was having a heart attack. Turns out I was having one heck of an anxiety attack while driving my children home from Ohio in May. I pulled the car over and found a local mall and the girls and I took about an hour and just hung out. Needless to say this prompted me to make an appointment with my primary care doctor.

I didn't want to go to this appointment. Why? My weight has been slowly creeping upwards and I honestly didn't want some man to tell me I should lose weight. I have been running between 15 and 25 miles a week and have not been overeating but could not explain this gain except age. You know I did turn 45 this year and ever since 40 I haven't been able to lose weight. Shoot let's just push that back to since having babies because I have never lost that extra 20 pounds.

So I sat there with him and he listened to me babble on about this and that and told me he didn't think I was having a heart attack. Whew. He did want to take some blood work though. Ok, that's easy enough and I was out of there! What happened next has opened my eyes to so much that I have been dealing with the past year. The nurse called to tell me that I had elevated TSH levels and they would like me to retest in 4 weeks. I immediately got on the computer and have to say I was stunned. Basically I had ever.single.one of the symptoms for hypothyroidism. ALL of which I previously blamed on age!

A month later I was back in and my levels had gotten even higher. They put me on Levothyroxine and sent me on my way. It hasn't been very successful so far I am sad to say. The extreme fatigue that I felt is still there, I feel really weird in my chest after taking the pills, I have gained another 5 pounds, I still wake up each night with insomnia, my hair is falling out worse than ever and I have had my period twice in one month. Not the happy ending I had hoped for. Right now I am trying to decide what route to take. I may try and see an Integrative doctor once the girls go back to school. We'll see.
Why am I writing about this? Well, I am running another marathon this fall and I wanted a place where I could document what works, what doesn't and how this crazy year is going to turn out. My training has been dismal so far. Bless my running partner for putting up with me and my slow butt. I swear I spend an hour a day trying to figure how to snap my fingers and make myself feel better but that is not an option unfortunately. It is going to be a slow process, of this I am sure, but I will get back to feeling good again I have to believe that!
I have been sick and it is quite frankly kicking my butt! Still have to have the girls to their activities though. I took a personal day on Tuesday and canceled everything :) Well except getting kids to school, laundry, dishes, supper etc... So finally on Friday I am working on this post :)
We, along with everyone else in Charlotte, decided to go to Carowinds on Labor Day. It was another tough day to let the older girls ride those big rides but I did it. They had a ball! Ruby wasn't feeling it so we just followed the older ones around the park. Baby girl and I did have Dipping Dots.

Both girls are in volleyball this year and let me tell you it is HARD! I am having to ask friends for help because this mama can't be at 2 places at one time. Last week one had a game at 11 and the other at 12 BUT at schools across town from each other. I will not stress out. I will not stress out. I will not stress out.

What do you eat after running 17 miles? A Burning Love Burger from Red Robin that is what! #YUM

That's all folks!

Life with these 3 is crazy! So here is a catch up of what we have been doing.

<a data-flickr-embed="true" href="https://www.flickr.com/photos/11842226@N06/20985500898/in/dateposted-public/" title="2nd week of 1st grade. *sigh* It's getting real! 2nd week of 1st grade and this girl got spelling homework. Like 14 words and 2 sentences! Granted the words were easy BUT then they threw in some signs (cents, dollars etc..) that I wasn't aware of. Sneaky teachers.

Remember when the rainbow looms were all the rage? We lost interest too but they dragged them out last week surprising me and made some foot jewelry. They wore them as hand jewelry to school the next day. I don't remember a lot of useless toys like this laying around when I was growing up.

I penciled in a kayaking date with a few mamas who live near me. Our lake is so far down and you don't realize it until you are out there. It was so nice to do something for me last week that DIDN'T involve marathon training.
This one. She has absolutely no interest in Star Wars but she does like pink and things that light up and potential weapons so...

Marathon training is chugging along. These final weeks leading up to October's race will be my highest mileage runs. It really drains me. I went to bed at 8pm last night because I was exhausted. Mostly because I was up since 3 not able to fall back to sleep more than the running. Each week I dig a little deeper to get me to my goal. I am the kind of person that really needs that goal too because otherwise I would blow off my weekend runs.

That's all. I was so busy I barely took pictures *gasp*. Have a great week!Jessiehttp://www.blogger.com/profile/04639911922083569596noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4870220321385230390.post-67315054933829240162015-08-31T07:55:00.000-04:002015-08-31T07:55:27.976-04:00My week on Instagram 8.23.15Instagram is my preferred social media for sure! I love looking at everyones photos without all the junk :) So here is my week!

This one isn't actually from this week but we got season passes again to Carowinds and guess who was tall enough to ride the big rides? Our middle daughter was thrilled to be able to ride the Nighthawk, Intimidator, and The Fury 325! I took this crew by myself so I broke my rule of riding those rides the first time with them and let her go with the gang. Ruby can't take care of herself!

We also had a fun filled day of picking apples at Skytop Orchard.

It has become a yearly event with our good friends, the Sutherland family. This year we went without dads due to scheduling which meant...

More BBQ from Bridges for the mamas - yes we fed the kiddos too :)

I happened to find some old school Nascar drivers while I was walking around a local antique mall. You never know who you will run into in Mooresville! Yep, sometimes this is what mama does while the kids are in school :)

Now that I am in a certain older age bracket some of the things I enjoyed as a child is now considered "antique". When did I become antique? My great-grandmother had this set of tv tables and I ate my after school snack on them every day while watching Clubhouse Powwww. I just googled it and apparently it was only on for a year. My sister Jenny got on the show and was able to play the game with Barney the weird little cartoon host. Funny how some things stick in your head like that though.

I am training for another marathon. I always thought Chicago would be one and done but I felt like I didn't do as well as I could have. SO, I am running the Peaks to Creek marathon on October 24 of this year. It is a hilly course so I am preparing by running through the hilliest area near me. Davidson.

How about that? This time around I am doing a run/walk interval and although I see my times as slow I have to remember that it isn't a flat surface and it has been a brutally hot and humid summer here in NC. I am very thankful for these 2 lovely ladies who join me in our weekly 2+ hours of torture at an insanely early time on Sunday mornings.Jessiehttp://www.blogger.com/profile/04639911922083569596noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4870220321385230390.post-9380333239517566872015-08-28T15:23:00.000-04:002015-08-28T15:23:39.637-04:00First Day of School 2015-16How the heck are we already beginning the 2015 school year? Well my last post it was 2013 so I ask where oh where has the time gone?

So what has happened from May 2013 until August 2015? WAY too much to every post about but I am hoping to blog a little bit more now and then. Life passes you by and I really love my blog to look back and relive those memories.

Piper is starting 5th grade. Such an awesome girl. We are very blessed however she is starting to get that tween sassiness that I know will come full fledged in just a few years. She tries to boss her sisters around but mostly has no luck. If I hear it escalating it usually ends up with her cleaning bathrooms or vacuuming stairs. This girl though is such a special person. She is giving, sweet, and just a fun kid to be around.

Violet starts 3rd grade this year. What? EOG's? REAL grades? Mama isn't ready for this yet but Violet sure is! Boy has this daughter of ours blossomed in school. She is a really awesome student and often times gets asked by her teachers to help them with odd jobs. This year Violet decided to go retro and have her hair cut in the style she did back when she was 4 and donated her hair to Locks of Love. I think she looks amazing!!

Ruby Su. Oh.My.Heart Ruby is starting 1st grade and never even looked back when she hopped in the car. This will only last a few months though because baby girl tires of school and it is a REAL struggle to get her out of the car and through the doors in the morning. Once there she is fine but holy hell the morning I have getting her to that point! I may have resorted to buying Dum Dums and bribing. Not proud but you gotta do what you gotta do!

I miss these girlies when they are gone. Monday I ate my breakfast and it WAS STILL HOT! I picked up the living room and it stayed clean ALL DAY! What? Not to mention the fact that I took a shower and wasn't asked "Can I take a shower with you Mama?". But I missed them so much. Then they came home and 5 minutes later when the fighting began knew that school is a good thing. I just wish it wasn't so many days.

<bsr>hello?</bsr>

<sp>
</sp>
<sp>
Today marks a little over 3 months since my last post. I don't think about the old blog much anymore sadly. I look at it, try to think of something to say, and then walk away. Right at this moment we are all just super excited that next week school will get out and then we will be on vacation for summer! Yay! I have some really excited kiddos let me tell you that. They are done with school. </sp>
<sp>
</sp>
<sp> Done! Done! Done! <<< that's a lot of done going on over here! </sp>
<sp>
</sp>
<sp> Maybe the mama is the most done of the kids. I certainly won't be receiving the "Best Mom" award - at least from the school. Piper learned how to do Powerpoint this year and had a whole presentation. I missed it. It was ON A MONDAY at 7:40 am (really, no lie) and I just forgot. She did it for me using a print out when she got home and told me she understood. Bless my Piper. Then a week later after becoming full on annoyed with our substitute for not sending home information about when the 2nd grade play was to take place my daughter told me "It's in the newsletter mama". Hmmm...maybe I should have read one of those in May huh? </sp>
<sp>
</sp>
<sp> </sp>

As the "Best Mom" award winner you can also see I still didn't break out the big camera. Nah, why not document one of her production with an iPhone. Did I mention we're done? She did great though, I got her there on time, she sang loud, and did all the moves. Yay Piper!

<sp> Now, what is new around here?
</sp>
That is Daisy. We got her last week after going to the pet store to buy food. Right there in front were 2 pigs in cages with a sign that they were up for adoption. The owner was allergic to them and had to give them up. There was a small fee but we got everything included so it wasn't horrible. Daisy is really cute and squeaks when you pet her. She resides in Piperoni's room so Violet started sleeping in there with her so she gets to be by the pig too. Kids.

Violet kept her room clean for a whole month! Baby steps here. Mostly she succeeded because she was sleeping with us and now sleeps in Piper's room but she did it and got her reward.

4 lessons at a horse farm. Want to hear something crazy? 10 years ago hubs and I looked at that property to buy but it was just land then. We could have had a horse farm but instead we just keep taking in animals here at our own little zoo.

Have I ever blogged about Gigi our Quaker parrot? We got her last year and I have to say she is such a beautiful pet. I had researched them but when they are with you it is a whole different ballgame. For instance, she used to like me :) When we got her she would hang out on me. I opened her cage each morning and we would "talk". Cleaning her cage was a breeze because she would either sit on my shoulder or walk around on the ground. Then something happened. What? I have no clue! Now, she hates me! She wants no part of me and tries to bite me when I clean her cage. I keep trying though because I do love having her live here. If you are a parrot whisperer please contact me because I need you!
Now I am off to enjoy the spring that is finally here! Cold weather hung around and then it got H.O.T! Not complaining because I love it!

I would also like to say "You're welcome!" to all my local peeps. A few weeks ago I visited our local Goodwill and there were 4 snow sleds there that I decided to buy. Most likely this will mean no snow in Motown until my kids graduate high school. I am quite positive they will find some sort of alternative activity to use them in the summer though. Got to love their imaginations.

Until we meet again...Jessiehttp://www.blogger.com/profile/04639911922083569596noreply@blogger.com3tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4870220321385230390.post-21281971883323976162013-02-20T12:52:00.002-05:002013-02-20T12:52:17.325-05:00Is that snow on the ground?Don't laugh. It snowed here on Saturday night. I am guessing that a lot of it melted at our house right away. I have seen some Facebook pics that friends had a lot more than us. I am not sure we would have gotten a snowman made without it being pretty hairy with all the grass sticking up. Fam was down in the big city watching Yo Gabba Gabba Live when it happened - such a fun time by the way! At intermission I brought the girls to the window to show them the white stuff outside and they wanted to come home and play. <s>Mama was too LAZY</s> It was too late when we finally got home to go then but in true kid fashion they got up at 6:30 the next morning and started begging right off. Finally around 7 I couldn't take it anymore and threw them out. Yep, still in their pj's but without gloves or hats they were off to touch snow. Younger two lasted about 30 minutes but Piper stayed out over an hour playing with the dogs.

Then later that morning it melted. God bless Charlotte NC. My kids saw snow but I didn't have to shovel. Perfection. Jessiehttp://www.blogger.com/profile/04639911922083569596noreply@blogger.com5tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4870220321385230390.post-69954082708193918242013-02-09T16:20:00.000-05:002013-02-09T16:20:16.588-05:00It has been so long...
I don't even know how to use the *new* Blogger to write a post!
Then I had to remember how to open Photoshop.

Ha, not today! As I was looking to see what I hadn't posted yet (the list is long) I realized that there is a lot of water pics here. Since I have no imagination at the time I simply titled this post "Water". I can't really call these Project 366 anymore because nothing is numbered and it is all jumbled on my Flickr. I have no idea what date is what anymore. And with this post concludes July...
We spent so much time in the lake this year! Sometimes a little rinse gets you through until the next day when we do it all over again.
We have been going the past few years over the 4th and it has been pretty fun for everyone. Daddy works and Mama and the girls play. That's fair right?
We found this Bitty Baby at Goodwill in Wisconsin. Why yes I visit Goodwill when I am in different states just to see the goodies they might have. "Lucy" was under $2. Probably because one of her eyes stays shut most of the time (our other 2nd loved baby, "Lily", is missing her big toe). We love her and now have triplets. Of course with different hair color :)
We arrived to Daytona on July 4th. We met some friends for supper then headed back to the hotel to watch fireworks. This trip we stayed at the Hilton next to the boardwalk. This shot isn't to show you how awesome I am at photographing fireworks but to show how awesome the fireworks looked from our room! We ate Twizzlers and chips and watched from our balcony. Perfect!
Matt has been coming here so long he knows good places to eat. If that place is busy we just go to another. Racing's North Turn wasn't our first choice but I am so glad we ended up there! There was an awesome band playing and we had an incredible view of the ocean all the while I enjoyed an iced cold Fat Tire and oysters. Perfection. Until the noseeums came and drove us away. It was alright though because we had a long day and Daddy had a REALLY long day coming up Friday.
We entered a sand castle contest while we were there. Why not right? So we made Violet and Piper into mermaids but one of the judges said that they wouldn't win. Why? "While the children are cute this is about the purity of the sand" What? It's all good. We made a sun. And lost :)
We never leave early on our last day. Drives my husband crazy because we roll back home at like midnight but I want to enjoy every last moment we can. Especially when we are having such a great time! So we woke up Sunday and swam in the pool. Came back to the room and showered. Thank you Hilton for your generous late check outs! A trip to Daytona isn't complete without going to Bubba Gump.
I will lump the remainder of the summer by the activities we did and go from there.

Girls and I decided to make a long overdue trip back home to Wisconsin. We packed out stuff, hitched a ride, and off we went!

Girls were awesome in the plane. I packed all sorts of electronic devices but they slept and looked out the windows most of the time. Good little travelers.

That must have been why I ran so many red lights when I first moved to NC :)

A friend of mine got married and they had this awesome pool at the hotel where the reception was. We brought suits and snuck out for some fun swimming time. There was so much chlorine in the pool it hurt my eyes and I was sitting NEXT to the pool :)
Lots of fun times with the cousins! I didn't want to plan too many activities I just wanted to hang with the family. We ended up doing a few things but most of the time we were just playing. It was good for my girls to reconnect with the cousins they rarely see.
If you know me personally you know that I am a bit on the overprotective side. I know this. It was also how I was raised by my great grandmother so why wouldn't I be the same? My kids aren't the "cool" kids, they are the ones who have to play it safe because "My Mom won't let me." Bummer right? Recently I learned a very valuable lesson. Being overprotective isn't all that bad.

Last week a friend invited us to their community pool to swim. I am a nervous wreck in pool situations. Like until this season I have made our 5 year old wear a swim vest (insert *eyeroll* from 5 year old here). I don't let our girls outside of our fence without a life vest on because we live on the lake. Our water isn't even over their heads but still it is a "wear it or don't go!" Period.

My friend, Steph, and I decided to order pizza for the families and Ruby asked to take off her vest. I have never let her do this. After a few times of her asking I let her. Where was my head? What was I thinking? I didn't want to hear her whine? Plus we were eating away from the pool. Everyone was told not to go in the water and to let their stomachs settle. While Steph and I were cleaning up the table Violet yelled "Mama, Ruby isn't wearing her life vest and she's sinking!" Oh.My.Gosh! My heart stopped. Thankfully Steph was already running and jumped in and got her. She was fine and was holding her breath trying to doggie paddle but definitely under water. That fast. Steph was shaking. I was shaking. Our baby loves the water and just wanted to put her life vest on and get back in not even realizing how dangerous of a situation she was in. 3 year olds don't understand drowning and I failed her by allowing her to wear me down and take her vest off. Again, what the heck was I thinking?

I know my child will never get to take her vest off again. We have all probably heard a similar story before. It can happen in an instant. There was no splash, there was no struggle, my girl just basically sunk even trying to swim. I have beat myself up so many times over the past few days over this. I have cried over it. I have major guilt over it. It was the first and ONLY time that I ever let one of my kids around water without their vest and my girl almost drowned. Water should not be feared but it should be respected. Valuable lesson learned the hard way!Jessiehttp://www.blogger.com/profile/04639911922083569596noreply@blogger.com3tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4870220321385230390.post-36114906016641025792012-07-18T07:39:00.000-04:002012-07-18T07:39:36.845-04:00Pony Royale Review #CleverPonyRoyale

This post is sponsored by Pony Royale. I was selected for this opportunity as a member of Clever Girls Collective, and the content and opinions expressed here are all my own.

Pony Royale, a new toy line starring beautiful princess ponies, brings a fresh new approach to princess play in the fashion doll category. Pony Royale combines favorite play patterns - hair play, fashion play and nurturing play β to give children endless hours of open-ended creative play with a fun and easy fashion system. The full collection, featuring 12 Princess Ponies, all with the ability to mix-and-match their manes, tails and fashion pieces, will hit store shelves in late July at Toys R Us.

My girls were lucky enough to play with the ponies before they get to Toys R Us! We received Harmony and Sienna. I couldn't get the package opened soon enough for our pony lovers. The twelve Princess Ponies are pony action figure dolls with names, personalities, and changeable hair and outfits. With two Pony Royale dolls, make over 60 fashion styles! Each pony comes with a jeweled birthstone blaze, two sets of Change-It-Up Hair and hair brush included!

The week that Sienna and Harmony arrived was hot. Let me rephrase, H.O.T.! Afternoons were spent indoors to escape the 100+ degree temps. The new Pony Royale Princess Ponies gave them hours of imaginative play. Our lucky Princess Pony's were treated to their hair being braided, taken out, brushed, and braided again.

Our little Ruby loved them right away. Although she is only 3 she was able to remove the hair and change it as easily as the older two. She thought it was fun to use one color of hair for the mane and another for the tail. She liked her Princess Pony so much in fact that she didn't want to share her with the others. Thankfully Ruby naps occasionally because that allowed Piper and Violet time to play together.

Piper read to her sisters about the other Princess Ponies in the Pony Royale stable which were quickly added to their wish lists. A map of the Princess Pony's land sent them on adventures throughout our house ending in the living room where the girls changed out their pony's hair, switched up costumes, and got them ready to go again. The Pony Royale website tells you about each Princess Pony. Fun girlie things like who her BFF is, what her favorite drink is, and gives a brief description of her personality. Cute right? Piper was all over that!

A beautiful Princess Pony with her birthstone blaze would make an excellent birthday gift for that special princess in your life. Piper wants Starfire when they become available to the public this month since she just celebrated her birthday. It will give each of our girls their own Princess Pony to play with and many more hair options. Pony Royale will also be selling Fashion Sets and Hair Packs to dress your Princess Pony for the beach or maybe a day chasing butterflies. A girl needs a lot of options!

Visit the Pony Royale website for more information. Look for Princess Ponies in stores starting late July! Meanwhile, be sure to check out Pony Royaleβs Facebook page and follow them on Twitter!Jessiehttp://www.blogger.com/profile/04639911922083569596noreply@blogger.com1tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4870220321385230390.post-55264784291957731072012-07-12T12:24:00.000-04:002012-07-12T12:24:28.637-04:00AnticipationSometimes during our lives we build up an event so much in our heads that we become crazy with emotion anticipating how good or bad it will be. This is me right now. The weeks leading up to what would have been Milo's due date have been some of my worst since we lost him. I wish that I could stop the bad dreams at night or the sad memories that replay in my head during the day. There have been some very grateful distractions but even with them my heart is broken most days.

I feel different inside and I am still pissed off. This is obviously seeping into my everyday. Sometimes I feel like my joy is gone and wonder if it will ever return. None of this is fair to our family, I know this, but even on days that I get up trying so hard it just takes one small thing to throw me all the way back down into that very sad spot. Sad and angry feel a lot alike to me with both leaving me very empty.

I have still been taking my iPhone pics every day and one day (maybe even soon) I will post them. For now I will try and concentrate on Piper's birthday coming up and all the fun we will have when our Ohio family comes to stay with us. Maybe the great weight I feel will ease after I get through Sunday. I can only hope.Jessiehttp://www.blogger.com/profile/04639911922083569596noreply@blogger.com1tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4870220321385230390.post-35010448729010508522012-06-13T00:01:00.002-04:002012-06-13T00:01:01.868-04:00Another school year in the booksI am now the mama of a rising 2nd grader AND a rising Kinder! These girls. I swear each of them have grown 2 inches. When you look at them from just 9 months ago you can see the changes. I should have made them get out the chalkboards again. Something to remember next year :)

Haven't participated in a long time!
My COOL WHIP Everyday Celebration! #FMcoolwhipmoms #spon

Quick, easy, and delicious. COOL WHIP Whipped Topping finds itself on our family's table all year round. I can remember back to being a kid and at every family event someone made Pistachio Fluff, did you ever have that or was it just our house? COOL WHIP was served every Thanksgiving and Christmas with delicious pumpkin or pecan pie and also summer's apple and berry pies. COOL WHIP isn't just for pies though. I enjoy a little dollop on my fresh berries. Sweet summer berries make an easy dessert during the week and our family can't get enough of them!

In true zoo style we celebrate everything so the first day of summer break deserved it's own little party. I am going to share a Chocolate Peanut Butter Pie recipe that I really love. Super easy to make and it is a hit with the kiddos. It was rainy and yucky outside and the girls didn't get to play like they wanted to but knowing the pie was coming for "bessert" that night gave them something to look forward to.

Ingredients

COOL WHIP Whipped Topping - mostly softened
Chocolate Ice Cream - mostly melted
Peanut Butter Chips
Chocolate Pie Crust

Then assemble the pie - first up most of the peanut butter chips

On to the mostly melted chocolate ice cream

Top it off with COOL WHIP Whipped Topping and the rest of the peanut butter chips

Now freeze! Sometimes I freeze it overnight sometimes (like this time) I freeze it for the day (approximately 5 hours). And Enjoy!

Prep time on the pie was about 5 minutes. The hard part is waiting until it refreezes to dive into it! Chocolate, peanut butter, ice cream, and COOL WHIP - it doesn't get any better than that! You can mix and match chips and ice cream to make up your own personal COOL WHIP pie. I saw mint chips at the store that would be fantastic with a mint chocolate chip ice cream. COOL WHIP also has 2 flavored Season's Delight varieties, Sweet Cinnamon and French Vanilla, that you could get really creative with. I could just dunk a wafer cookie in the Sweet Cinnamon and my sweet craving would be satisfied.

Yummy treats don't have to be difficult or time consuming and COOL WHIP helps you make them easily. COOL WHIP Whipped Topping has a ton of recipes on their website that you can try out tonight for your family. I let them stay up too late on the weekends. Here we are on our deck and she has my Kindle reading a book. Nights here in NC are gorgeous and my kids should get to experience them once in awhile :) Plus they are awesome company - love me some Lucas girls!
This is the only posts that I seem to be able to publish these days. I don't love what starts coming out when I type so I delete most things I write. There have been too many bad anniversaries swirling through my head. Too much sadness inside me and with my "due date" quickly approaching it is a dark time in my heart right now and that's all I am going to say about that.Jessiehttp://www.blogger.com/profile/04639911922083569596noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4870220321385230390.post-53565557293733602532012-05-28T07:45:00.000-04:002012-05-28T07:45:46.930-04:00Project 366 - Week 20It was bound to happen. I have been to better DMB shows but the group I was with was super fun and it was nice to get to a girls night concert again. Since having babes I don't see shows like I used to and I realize each time I see one how much I miss them. BNL in July? Possibly!
Breakfast with my girl. We won't do this again until the fall but I can't wait for summer so I can do it will all 3 girls! Except probably not Panera because it will cost like $20 for all of them to get filled up :)
What a fun day at the track. Except we weren't really at the track. We were indoors and not outside baking in our 90+ degree NC day. It was nice :)Jessiehttp://www.blogger.com/profile/04639911922083569596noreply@blogger.com1tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4870220321385230390.post-91927751006545308672012-05-20T07:02:00.001-04:002012-05-20T07:06:54.078-04:00Project 366 - Week 19
133/366
How was your Mother's Day? To be honest, mine was less than fabulous. The kids woke up fighting and a 2 hour car ride to the zoo was the last thing that I wanted to do. But I promised. They love the zoo so that was fun to watch them with the animals but unfortunately my experience at Pauley's Front Porch (from Diners, Drive-Ins, and Dives) was not what I expected. They were the reason we went to Columbia and the service stunk, the bathroom was broken, and my hamburger was mediocre. We did see a wild drug bust on our way out of town though. Drug dogs, cops ready to shoot with pistols and shotguns. Crazy that we were allowed to just drive by. Unreal in the movies sort of scene. Girls are still talking about it.
Our hydrangea is about 6 feet tall full of gorgeous blue blossoms. I will take full advantage this year and fill vases in every room but what about next year. Cut back or allow to grow another 3 feet? Decisions decisions :)
Hubs brought this home from work for me to try. I was afraid to try it. Back when I worked at the mill I would take these over the counter pills to stay awake and they would make me feel really funny and I worried that this was the same thing. Monster is not the same as the pills I used to take but I am a coffee snob and this didn't do it for me. Let me be clear, this did nothing bad to me I just didn't care for their coffee taste. Coffee snob. Beer snob. What has become of me in my 40's?
This was sent to my husband to try and get him home before dark lol :) You can tell my desperation some days to get a photo a day. I forget and scramble looking at my phone to see if maybe I took one. Too bad the chicken isn't skin side up because it turned out extra good this night. Lucky you to see what we ate for supper on May 17, 2012 lol :)
Jessie, did you forget to take a picture again? Why yes, I did. I bought another book. For years I checked them out of the library but I wanted to read this and realized that the digital download from the library I am on the wait list for isn't for my Kindle - ugh! I sucked it up and paid for it. There are only 2 books out of 3 right now in this trilogy. It will drive me nuts when I finish the 2nd and am left hanging. Just started it but so far so good! You see the book in the background, yes I read it. Thankfully I didn't buy that one because I was not very impressed with the writing. I probably won't read the others either but I had to see what the hype was all about. *shrugging*
"Look over here Ruby" Yup, that's what I get most days :) I decided to go for a walk with the girls yesterday. What on earth was I thinking? What's really crazy is that I will probably do it again today. 35 pound stroller, 125 pounds of kids, and an 80 pound dog. Someone asked yesterday if I had triplets. Really?Jessiehttp://www.blogger.com/profile/04639911922083569596noreply@blogger.com3tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4870220321385230390.post-10019314697943049952012-05-17T07:24:00.000-04:002012-05-17T07:24:35.040-04:00Monday Mingle 5.14.12Yes, I do know it is Thursday :)
1. Do you have a birthmark?
2. What was your favorite game to play at recess?
3. What restaurant do you wish would come to your city/town?
In my rush to complete this before the bus came I forgot to mention that I actually fell from those bars and had a HUGE goose egg on my forehead. I was either in 2nd or 3rd grade when that happened because my sister was still at the school with me. Most likely I had a concussion and they sent me home. I haven't thought of that for years.
